Where The Season Feels Like A Beginning, And Your Wedding Day Does Too.
Spring arrives softly at The Wells Estate. The light lingers a little longer. The grounds wake up in gentle greens and delicate blooms, and there’s a sense of anticipation in the air… hopeful, romantic, and full of possibilities.
It’s the season of new beginnings. And for couples dreaming of a wedding that feels intentional, beautiful, and effortlessly elegant, spring at the estate holds a special kind of magic. Especially in May, when everything feels ready.
Why Spring (and May) Is the Sweet Spot
There’s something undeniably special about spring weddings, but May is where it all comes together. The weather settles into comfort, the landscape feels alive again, and the pace of the season offers a calm pause before summer arrives in full.
At The Wells Estate, May brings:
- Warmer temperatures – ideal for outdoor ceremonies and open-air cocktail hours
- Early greenery and spring florals – framing the arches and grounds
- Thoughtfully designed spaces that transition seamlessly between indoor and outdoor moments
- A fresh, peaceful energy that feels celebratory without feeling rushed
- Spring light paired with timeless architecture, creating photos that feel natural, emotional, and enduring
Early spring hesitation is completely natural. That’s why every space at The Wells Estate is designed to feel just as beautiful and intentional, whether your day unfolds outdoors, indoors, or somewhere in between. It’s the best of both worlds: spring’s softness with just a hint of summer warmth.

A Little Note from Our Director of Venues
With over 18 years of experience, Jolene Brugaletta knows a thing or two about seasonality, planning, and the thoughtful choices that shape a truly memorable wedding day. Across every theme, vision, and event style, she has seen firsthand how timing can quietly influence the entire experience. When it comes to early spring weddings, her perspective is simple. This season rewards intention. From pacing and vendor availability to atmosphere and guest comfort, spring offers a unique balance that allows couples to slow down, lean into meaningful details, and create a day that feels both elevated and deeply personal. Here is how Jolene puts it:
“An early spring wedding captures a moment of transition, from winter to warmth, and from two into one. There is something really special about being in that in-between season, where everything feels fresh and full of possibility. Beating the high summer and fall rush often means a wider range of preferred vendors are available for your date, and sometimes at an even better price. It gives couples the freedom to choose partners they truly love, without feeling rushed or limited. Spring can still feel cool, which is why I always encourage couples to lean into cozy details like candlelight, bistro lights, and thoughtful touches such as a warm beverage station with tea or hot toddies. Those moments make guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for.”
