The Moment the Season Comes Alive
There’s something unforgettable about the first wedding of the season at The Wells Estate, like the entire property takes a deep breath and wakes back up.
Spring has a way of softening everything here. The light feels warmer. The grounds feel fresher. The air carries that quiet anticipation that something beautiful is about to begin again.
And for this wedding, it wasn’t just the start of a new season; it was the start of their season.
From the moment guests arrived, there was a sense of ease and excitement woven together. The couple envisioned a celebration that felt romantic but effortless, elevated but welcoming; a day where guests didn’t just attend a wedding, they experienced it.
And that is exactly what unfolded.
The Estate Experience: A Celebration in Motion
The day began at the Estate House, utilizing the space for all the getting-ready moments. The flow of the morning moved effortlessly through the kitchen and bedrooms, captured in beautiful moments of laughter and quiet stillness, all the anticipation right before the celebration began.

Guests arrived at the property and stepped into what naturally becomes a fully immersive experience at The Wells Estate. From the moment of arrival, the celebration begins to unfold in a way that feels seamless and intentional, with each transition supported by the natural flow of the estate.
The ceremony space was transformed into a spring-forward vision, featuring seasonal details that complemented rather than competed with the surrounding landscape. As guests took their seats, the space settled into that quiet pre-ceremony stillness, the kind of natural pause that forms just before the processional begins and the ceremony starts to unfold.
Following the ceremony, guests transitioned into cocktail hour, where the property opens up in a way that encourages movement, conversation, and connection. The estate’s layout allows guests to naturally shift between spaces, experiencing the celebration in layers rather than within a single defined setting.
As the evening continued, the reception space revealed a completely different atmosphere. What began as soft and romantic in tone transitioned into something warm, glowing, and full of energy as dinner and celebration came to life.
It’s one of the defining qualities of spring weddings at The Wells Estate: the way the property evolves throughout the day, allowing each moment of the celebration to feel distinct while still connected as part of a cohesive experience.
Food & Catering: Where the Celebration Keeps Moving
As guests transitioned into cocktail hour, the experience became just as much about movement and discovery as it was about dining. The culinary experience, led by Partyman Catering, was designed to keep the energy alive—never static, never rushed, always intentional.
Passed Cocktail Hour Bites
A curated selection of elevated passed hors d’oeuvres moved through the celebration, encouraging guests to mingle and graze throughout the space.
- Bacon-wrapped scallops
- Miniature beef tacos
- Chicken and waffle cones
- Whipped feta + hot honey crostini (vegetarian)
Each bite was designed to be both familiar and elevated… easy to enjoy while keeping conversation flowing.
Signature Cocktails
A custom His & Hers pairing added a personal, playful layer to cocktail hour:
- Cranberry Coconut Splash
Coconut rum, cranberry juice, Sprite, lemon wedge - Ginger Spice
Spiced rum, ginger ale, Sprite, lime juice, bitters
Light, refreshing, and designed to reflect the couple’s personality, these drinks became a natural extension of the celebration.
Dinner Experience
Dinner unfolded through a series of interactive stations, allowing guests to curate their own experience while remaining part of the energy of the room.
- Carving Station
- Pasta Station
- Seasonal Market Station (featuring rotating chef selections inspired by the season’s freshest ingredients)
Rather than a traditional plated format, the stations encouraged movement, conversation, and a steady rhythm throughout the evening… dinner as an experience, not a pause in the celebration.
Dessert Display
As the evening shifted toward the dance floor, dessert arrived as its own moment of celebration.
A beautifully arranged spread featured:
- Assorted cookies
- Mini cupcakes
- Biscoff cheesecake shooters
Sweet, playful, and indulgent… the display marked the transition from dinner into the late-night energy that carries a wedding at The Wells Estate into its final, unforgettable chapter.
Favorite Moments From the Day
Every wedding has moments that linger long after the night ends, and this one had many.
There was the quiet pause right before the ceremony began, where everything felt still except for the anticipation in the air. The kind of silence that only exists right before something meaningful unfolds.

This anticipation was beautifully captured in a quiet photo of the bride before the ceremony, a moment that soon gave way to the electric joy of the bride and groom’s first kiss, captured right before they came recessed down the aisle.
There was the joy of guests reconnecting during cocktail hour, hugs that lasted just a little too long, laughter that carried across the lawn, and that unmistakable feeling of “we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be.”
As the evening deepened, the entire estate shifted its focus. The quiet light outside gave way to the warm, inviting glow spilling from Coutryside Cathedral. It was a beautiful transition; one of those moments where the day slows down just enough for you to appreciate every last detail.
Inside the reception, the energy lifted in a different way, music building, tables filling with conversation, and the dance floor slowly becoming the center of the entire celebration.
“The vision for the day was absolutely stunning. From the colors selected to the incredible menu, the team of creatives we worked alongside were all perfectly aligned. The energy of the couple, the guests, and the entire celebration was just so sweet and lively!”
